Description

Page Two: [link]

Reads left to right:

"I never tried looking at my past from another perspective..."
"I've always viewed the bad side of things..."
"Like saying ... 'rain is evil because it gets you wet...'"
"...not to mention it helps things grow..."
"I think that way of my mother..."
"...and my father."
"My mother loved me..."
"...but she left me with him..."
"And I'm all my father has..."
"...But he's a merciless being"
</sub>

Started this yesterday and finished today in class while watching Obama's inauguration (that's all we did in school today). It's supposed to be a flash-back or recall of Caroro's past when she was left with her dad and she never saw her mother ever again.

My favorite panel is #3 owo
mostly because i didn't expect the details to look so much like a real wolf's snout and for Caroro to actually look like a puppy. I didn't expect it because i didn't use a reference

Well... expect periodically calling my dog for a reminder xD

I didn't intend for the anatomy to be all that correct, particularly on Caro's mom who has exaggeratedly tiny legs and feet. Their eyes are also for the most part hidden because I do recall that in my particular dreams or memories i am unable to see people's faces or eyes- unless there is something very important about them (like in the last panel)

That is also the reason why Caro's mom is mainly a silhouette. She does not remember her mom hardly at all, so you can imagine how your memory of a person would be a simple outline (only in this case you see fur detail).

Anyway, it looks better in real life, and I can't stop looking at it, I'm so happy owo

I used ink and... well more ink
my poor pens -stroke- I abused them ;^;

I love this, I can't believe I hadn't favourited this already. I guess this is lying somewhere in my inbox. :D

I like panel #3 too. For the same reasons you listed and I think it really brings the first half of the story together -- In a way I see this as a two page story: the first 6 panels on their own and the last 6 six as another entity. Great rhythm and unity of style.

Loving this.
