Took the TAKS test and my Accuplacer test to see if I'm "college ready" so to speak

I got 8.0 out of 8.0 in my writing section-- 300-600 words and I made it to 637 words and had to resentence to cut it down to exactly 600
I got 61.7 (or something like that) in my Elementary Algebra (which is basics, not actually Elementary) and I needed like an 86.0 to pass. I was one question away

The rest of the scores, including Reading Comprehension and Sentence Structure I passed with either THE highest or one of the highest in my class...

However, I still have to pay $40 to take the Algebra part in August... not making me feel all too happy :hmm:

Ack.... Well to tell yall, my internet is dead and wont be back up till Bob knows when... and I also have my tabby taken away from me until the end of the school year-- when I leave for Chicago the 29th >: (

no matter... im not in a pchatting mood now anyway. I'm focussing mainly on my health and school... even though Im no where near doing good in class

Oh yeah- health...

did I tell you my mom did research and found what i have?

Its called Guttate Psoriasis... nasty disease..
[link]

um... yeah it popped up after I got strep (remember?) ...now whenever i have a soar throat i have to go in and get checked, because i could easily become a carrier of strep... if that happens my Guttate could turn into Plaque... which is worse... because it could turn into Arthritic and itll hurt to draw

haha I'm that 2%er :D I shouldnt be happy at all, but its cool i have something rare lawl

I go to a Dermatologist next thursday (15th)
I get canvases this saturday oAo ouuu paint!

have to finish writing my Indiana Jones book for Algebra tonight (dont ask)

Auuuurgh....

I have a 6 page paper to write on Stephen Hawking for biology... and a Indiana Jones story book to write for Algebra (its a complicated concept) both due next week...

As much as i wished i could have a wonderful weekend, I procrastinated enough (AGAIN) to where, working is all I'm gunna be doing now....

Although i started doing my research on Hawking and it totally did not get me motivated to starting the paper.....

I think I'll work on my algebra first.. since its the most fun....

Problem is i dont know how to get it started D8/ I'll seek the tutors' help huzzah!

Was supposed to go to the doctor this week... Monday morning was the date set, but we had to reschedule because i had a Kines Final. The next date was set for Thursday morning.... but i have TAKS then... and Friday I have a field trip D8 all days are full~

And my mom did more research and figured out exactly what I got

I have Guttate Psoriasis [link]

It's actually pretty rare, I just now have to go to the doctor, get it confirmed... I mean, my dad have psoriasis... i knew i was bound to have it... and sure enough after strep- BAM!

Now I have to go to the doc everytime i have a sore throat, because if i become a carrier of strep this could never go away and then it'll turn to Plaque Psoriasis Dx do not want

Aurgh... such a pain... i can make it snow just by patting myself on the head Dx so nasty... i just want it to go away

Doctors give you shit that suppose to work, but its not nearly as much as you need

so this damned uncurable disease keeps spreading to the rest of my body

and I sit here hiding my skin

wondering how the hell am i going to wear a dress to my father's wedding?

am i just going to take the stares and critique?

just like i take the nasty judgment at school?

the ignorant folks announcing

"Herpes"

when thats not nearly as much the pain I feel

I just want to cry

while all I had starts to wear away

because I'm tired

hungry

and I cant feel anything anymore

But the burning sensation

and the itching

I rather have my skin clump up and die too early

Then have a needle stuck in arm twice a week for the rest of my life

making me nauseous and full of fatigue

No wonder my dad hates everyone around him

He has no where else to relieve the pain

I have no where to run

no where to hide

and all the while I struggle with everything else in life

I just can't wait to go home in five more weeks

to the only one I know I can talk to

the only one that truly understands...

Father.

So-called "Legalized Art theft"

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 14, 2008, 3:37 PM
it's just another social virus thats being spread through everyones little minds that this is something that exists today. Who ever started up this shit is either a complete idiot because they dont to research or is an even bigger idiot if they ignored that and decided to just spread un-true crap all over the internet.

of course its probably not your fault if you read this: [link]=pageone&article_no=3605&;page=1 because that's the guys fault for doing his own research

as quoted from [link]

"1. There was a bill about "Orphan Works" up before congress in 2006. This bill did deal with copyright and the treatment of "abandoned" works of art. The bill was not, however, being backed by Bill Gates, was not a plot between Bill Gates and the government to steal art or legalize art theft, and did not require artists to register their copyrights. (Requiring copyright registration is illegal.)

2. The actual subject of the bill was an attempted solution to the problem of orphaned art, art that has no owner, either because the owner has deliberately abandoned it, or because the owner is unknown. To simplify it, the bill was basically saying that if somebody finds a work of art, and makes every possible effort to locate and contact the original artist, and cannot do so, then they have a legal right to use that art, and cannot be taken to court for doing so. This has the potential for abuse, yes, but I really would prefer it, in that case, if people would discuss the real issue, and not the boondoggle of legalizing art theft, which was not the intended purpose of the bill at all.

3. The bill failed to pass.

4. There was a subcommittee hearing to consider a similar bill for this current session of congress, but it fizzled and nothing happened.

There is still some legitimate concern about this bill possibly turning up again; however, a.) the bill isn't nearly so awful as that article claims, and b.) it also may never come up again, while there ARE many bills that we ought to concern ourselves with that ARE currently being debated in congress.

I really dislike this sort of thing, and while I know that people who re-post these kinds of articles are very well meaning and just want to warn their friends, I honestly wish more people would research this kind of thing before passing it along just on the say-so of some guy on the internet. It causes so much concern and worry and wasted effort that could be spent on real issues and not on boogeymen.

The text of the bill itself:

A report about the situation that inspired the bill from the US Copyright office:

I have seen one legit article mentioning the return of this bill, here:
[link]

However, the bill is NOT listed for the current session of congress.

[link] is where you can look up current legislation."

not saying I didnt believe it.... but obviously i didnt join the band wagon and start posting shit here on dA. I first talked to my dad about it, (him knowing MANY of the congressmen) and then told my dear friend ~Frikin-ChibiiconFrikin-Chibi: : about it, whom which did her homework. (Good Maria~ -pats-)

now you all post journals saying you're sorry for NOT doing your homework

just goes to show that the quote is true:

"When we assume it makes an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'."
