I'd say that hell froze over today, but I can tell that's not yet true since the Cubs have yet to win a World Series.
While my two roommates got off of work today due to the sub-zero temperatures and enjoyed the comfort of home with warm, hand-made quilts, I had to commute to work. It wasn't that bad considering how strategic I was with limiting my exposure time... but I could tell that after five minutes exposed my toes and fingers going numb (despite the number of layers I was wearing).
I'm glad temperatures will rise above zero degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow. One day of -16F with -45 windchill is enough for me, thanks.
Blu will be up here living with me again this Thursday! I am very excited! I miss her!

Pierogi the sphynx kitten I am getting will be going for his first vet visit tomorrow! I'm anxious, but I'm sure his health check will be completely fine. He's 5 1/2 weeks old!
Also art... I've done art... I will post this art sometime, maybe... When life slows down a little bit.

SO MUCH ART TO POST... as soon as I organize my files and get the high-res scans together for posting. I'm busy with commissions and other work in the mean-time. I just finished up my first show of the summer (CHICAGO) and am working on scheduling some more for the season. I've found the freedom to do my art and get bills paid, but it involved alot of responsibility for myself and promoting my work. It's a full-time job!

Hello
Been a while! I took some time away from keeping up my online presence and things got away from me a bit. What happened here? I really miss collaborating and sharing ideas with other artists in a community! I tried to find an artist community in Chicago which I could grow from and that is still an uphill battle. But you have to work hard to get anything good in life!
I am so happy to see many of my friends and fellow creatives are still active on this site, and posting so much fabulous work. I am such a slacker compared to you guys! Can you believe that after 11 years of membership on this site, I was following over 600 individuals? I guess

This year has been so crazy for me. Exhilarating and beautiful, I should say!
I realized it today, after waking up from my sound sleep following an entire day of chaos. The good kind of chaos, you know? Like when you don't know what is going to happen next but you just hold on tight anyway and stick around for the wild ride with the biggest smile on your face? I think much of my entire life is like that. I do what steering I can but sometimes life throws at you a shit ton of opportunities and you just get caught up in the moment frantically trying to grab them all!!!!
